CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION is a hit CBS show about an elite forensics police team working in Las Vegas. CSI officers use the best scientific and technical methods to solve crimes.
The first episode Matt guest starred in is “19 Down,” episode 9 in season 9. When a new murder leads to a connection with an infamous serial killer, Gil Grissom (William Petersen) secretly joins the class of well-known criminal pathologist Dr. Raymond Langston (Laurence Fishburne) to gain access to the killer and get a crack in the case. Matt plays Dan Forrester, a student in Langston’s class. This was a two part episode, originally airing December 11, 2008. The second episode, “One to Go,” would not air until after winter break on January 15, 2009. In the second half, Grissom gets Dr. Langston’s help to find the man who is carrying on the serial killer’s work before the next victim is killed. Dan is brought in for questioning. The case will prove to be Grissom’s last with the crime lab.
Episode 18 of season 9, “Mascara,” is Matt’s final episode in the series, which originally aired April 2, 2009. One of Langston’s former grad assistants is murdered. He discovers that she was investigating Mexican wrestlers to solve a series of unsolved murders. Dan is working at one of the local casinos when the team comes in to ask him some questions.
